Our multiplex, fluorescence-based real-time PCR assay includes targets for the MTB insertion sequence region, a positive control plasmid containing a contamination control sequence, and an internal control to assess sample quality.

The B&B MolD™ Mycobacterium tuberculosis qPCR Kit is a molecular diagnostic assay designed for the qualitative detection of MTB DNA from human specimens (e.g., sputum) by all major real-time PCR instruments.

Workflow Overview

1. Sample Processing & Extraction

Purify DNA using standard MTB extraction procedures.

2. Reaction Setup

Add extracted DNA to the ready-to-use Master Mix and Assay Mix.

3. Real-Time PCR Amplification

Multiplex detection of:

• MTB Target (IS6110)
• Internal Control (Human RNase-P)
• Contamination Control

4. Result Interpretation

• MTB detected
• MTB not detected
• Invalid (control failure)
