Clinical Testing
Do I need a doctor's order to book a test?
No. Anyone can book a clinical test online without a doctor's order. Choose a test from our Clinical Laboratory Tests page and complete checkout.
How do I schedule my appointment?
Clinical tests are available by appointment only. After booking online, call us at (301) 355-4779 or send us a message to confirm a time.
Where is the laboratory and when are you open?
B&B Bio is at 4 Professional Dr, Suite 115, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. We are open Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, by appointment only.
What specimen will be collected?
Each test page lists its specimen type. Most respiratory tests use a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab. Our team will explain the collection process when you schedule.
How long do results take?
Most tests have a turnaround time of 24–48 hours after the laboratory receives your specimen. The turnaround time for each test is shown on its page.
How do I get my results?
Results are available online through the B&B Bio patient portal, where you can view and download your test reports.
Do you accept insurance?
Clinical tests are self-pay only; we do not bill insurance. You pay the listed price at checkout. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and other payment options shown at checkout.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final. Please review your order before checkout and see our refund policy for details. Contact us right away if an item arrives damaged or incorrect.
Test Kits and Research Services
Who can order molecular test kits?
Our molecular test kits are Research Use Only products for qualified laboratories, research organizations, and life science partners. They are not intended for diagnostic procedures unless otherwise validated and authorized under applicable regulations.
How much does shipping cost?
US kit orders of $350 or more ship free. Shipping for smaller orders and international orders is calculated at checkout. See our shipping policy for details.
Can B&B Bio support custom assays or research projects?
Yes. We offer assay development, NGS, and molecular research services. Explore our research services or contact us to discuss your project.
