What it detects
A single molecular test that simultaneously detects RNA from multiple respiratory viruses:
- SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
- Influenza A
- Influenza B
- RSV
This is called a multiplex RT-PCR panel, meaning it tests for several pathogens in one run.
How it works (Multiplex RT-PCR)
Reverse transcription (RT): converts viral RNA → DNA
Multiplex PCR: amplifies multiple viral targets at the same time
Uses different probes/markers to identify each virus

Influenza A: Positive/Negative
Influenza B: Positive/Negative
